We're proud to not only produce our own Rodriquez Originals designs but also to work with a very talented artists across Australia and New Zealand. Here, we outline some background info on the artists we stock.

Red Tractor Designs (Racheal Flynn) 

Rachael Flynn lives on a cattle and sheep farm in central New South Wales with husband Mick, and sons, James and Paddy. A former Visual Arts teacher, Rachael began to paint scenes depicting the often amusing and sometimes touching aspects of life on an Australian farm using her own farmhouse, family and animals as inspiration.  

Rachael created Red Tractor Designs in 2001 with a range of books, greeting cards, calendars and magnets. Rodriquez has the exclusive licence to print the Red Tractor Design Tea Towels and Aprons.

Renee Treml

Renée Treml is an artist, author and environmentalist who lives on the Victorian Surf Coast.

Originally from the USA, Renée moved to Australia in 2007, where she was immediately captivated by the unique wildlife in this country.

Renee creates children’s books and illustrations that tell stories about animals and native birds in the Australian environment. She has won and been nominated for numerous awards including the Environment Award for Children’s Literature.

Rodriquez has the exclusive licence to print Renée Treml Tea Towels.

 

Sue Janson 

Australian artist and humourist, Sue Janson, pokes a bit of fun at the glampers in her new tea towel design for Rodriquez.

Launching her career in 2000, Sue Janson has amused art lovers across the globe with her quintessentially humorous Australian art that features a range of typical Aussie characters in scenarios that will be familiar to anyone who lives or has spent time in Australia.

 

Yvonne Sutherland

Yvonne Sutherland is a New Zealand artist and the creator of Happy Hens - brightly coloured, hand-painted ceramic hens of distinctive shape and assorted sizes.

Yvonne says Happy Hens was inspired by the traditional poultry breeds once kept by pioneer women that were selected for their decorative qualities as much as their egg production.

 

Beryl & Frank Saunders 

Frank Saunders a descendant of the Gunggari people whose traditional lands span the Maranoa River area of Western Queensland. Frank painted the hand (Maranoa) on many of his paintings as a reminder of his ancestral people.  

Beryl Saunders is the wife of the late Indigenous artist Frank Saunders a descendent of the Gunggari people whose traditional lands span the Maranoa River area of Western Queensland. Beryl and Frank collaborated on several artworks made exclusively for Rodriquez.

Royalties from the sales of this product are paid to Beryl Saunders.

 

Richard Galbraith

Richard Galbraith is a celebrated artist, illustrator and author of children's books. His work always features lots of Australian native animals and birds and he is best known for his series about a koala named Banjo Blue.
